Velocipede50 Cycling MENU BIKE 50 Off Road(and Road!)Cycling Home Our ClubWell-nighUsWell-nighThe Rides Ride Grades Safety Extras Committee Documents Joining Us Calendar News Gallery Road Rides Pedal Pals Safety Calendar Riders Useful Links Contact Us Faster Pedal Pals Faster PedalPals is an offshoot from Bike50 . We organise a programme of regular road rides for those wishing to modernize their road riding skills and want to trundling a little bit remoter and a little bit faster. The rides start from various venues and take place on quiet roads and lanes virtually Surrey, Hampshire, Berkshire and West Sussex and requite riders a endangerment to see and explore the wider countryside and pretty villages. It may be necessary to use rented roads for short periods to navigate from one minor road to flipside and occasionally use will be made of established well surfaced velocipede paths suitable for road or hybrid bikes. The rides are led by experienced road riders and can vary from half day jaunts tent 25-30 miles which include a stop at a café for light refreshment to a full day out tent 40-50+ miles including a lunch stop and perhaps a café stop as well. The rides typically stereotype well-nigh 12 - 13mph and, given the local geography, will scrutinizingly certainly involve hills. The ride leader may decide that the number of riders warrants having a when marker and if so will ask for a volunteer.Whenmarkers are usually experienced riders who are familiar with the route and can ensure that no-one gets left overdue during the ride.If you are new to road riding you are welcome to taste these rides using your mountain velocipede but if you intend to ride regularly on the road a road velocipede or hybrid is strongly recommended to enable you to maintain the same pace as the group. You are moreover well-considered to wear a helmet; kerbstones are unlikely to unravel when hit by the human body.Click here if you would like to join one of our rides or want remoter information fasterpedalpals@bike50.org.ukVelocipede50 Cycling Privacy Policy Designed and Built by Airedale Solutions
